Distinguished politician, social reformer, and visionary entrepreneur who transformed rural finance and cooperative development. His pioneering “Bidar Model” of Self Help Groups brought international acclaim, empowering weaker sections of society through strategic credit linkages.

Umakanth Nagamarapalli
Our Director
Born on February 20, 1959, Umakanth Nagamarapalli is the son of the late visionary Dr. Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering, bringing a structured and analytical approach to public service and cooperative management. This unique blend of technical expertise and social commitment has defined his four-decade career.
He has held pivotal positions shaping the region’s economic landscape:
- Chairman, DCC Bank Ltd., Bidar (2016–2023): Led the bank through a period of modernization and massive growth.
- Chairman, Naranja SSK Ltd: Unanimously elected in recognition of his contributions as a Director for over 16 years.
- Chairman, NSSK Ltd., Imampur (2016–2020): Spearheaded development initiatives in the sugar sector.

Suryakanth G. Nagamarapalli is a dynamic leader dedicated to the welfare of the people of Bidar. Following in the footsteps of his illustrious father, Dr. Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli, Suryakanth combines a rich legacy of cooperative movement success with a modern vision for development. A compassionate humanitarian and a patient listener, he is committed to upliftment across all sections of society, ensuring that the voice of every citizen is heard and valued.
